Veysonnaz, situated close to Sion, has many assets. Although the ski area belonging to the resort is limited (despite the fact that every year it holds the trials for the World Cup in Alpine Skiing), it nevertheless forms part of the magnificent 4 Vallées ski area, thus opening up 400 km of additional ski slopes. Moreover Veysonnaz takes special care with its development, taking care to preserve its environment. It thus remains a quiet, pleasant place, delighting not only lovers of great skiing, but also families. Nevertheless it has one fault which is a lack of facilities for freestyle: a sharp contrast with the normal practice for this sport on this side of the Alps.
