Valmorel la Belle lives up to its "beautiful" name. This resort is a true architectural success designed in harmony with its natural environment. Located on a woody site, the village is made up of large wooden and stone chalets grouped around a magnificent resort center: the Bourg Morel. Cars are not allowed in Valmorel. Pedestrian trips are made even easier with a mountain cableway. The skiable slopes connected with St. François Longchamp are designed for medium-level skiers. Although it is situated at a rather low altitude, the ski runs are almost always skiable thanks to a northern exposuure of the resort.
