Enlightened ski enthusiasts-take heed! Sainte Foy is, without question, one of the most underestimated of French resorts. In the shadow of its big-sister resorts Val d'Isère and Tignes, Sainte Foy offers an extraordinary (and overlooked) unmarked ski domain. The resort's four (!!!) chair lifts carry visitors to a veritable paradise for off-piste skiers. The marked pistes, for their part, seem to reject the current trend toward "sterilisation" and happily follow the natural topography of the terrain. The resort projects the image of a small, authentic and well-preserved mountain village.
