Nestling in the Engadine valley, wedged between a lake and mountain tops which tower more than 4,000 meters high, Pontresina enjoys a majestic setting. The resort has developed harmoniously, while still preserving its small-village soul. The skiing area covers five sectors accessible either directly from the resort or by bus. The gem of this ski area is the sector known as the " Diavolezza "which leads up to a glacier. This part of the overall skiing area is also shared by a very prestigious neighbour: St Moritz.
