There are no lifts from Mittersill. Whether you are a cross-country or alpine skiing addict, this charming little town serves as a kind of base camp for various ski areas. For cross-country skiers, there are more than 200 kilometres of easily accessible trails. For alpine skiers, there are two options. The closest area is the resort of Pass Thurn. Or, there is an area farther away starting from Kitzbühel that will open up immense skiing possibilities.
