Le Grand-Bornand, at the foot of the Aravis mountains, is at no disadvantage when compared to its big sister, La Clusaz. Its snow park, sled-dog race course, and perfectly groomed skiable slopes make for a promising cocktail. Add to that its laid-back village atmosphere and some special shows for the youngest visitors, and the result is a family-oriented, lively resort. Please note, however, that experienced skiers will have to quench their thirst for wide open spaces and plunging slopes at La Clusaz, which they can easily do by taking the shuttle (included in the combined skipass) connecting the two resorts. After sunset, "Grand Bo" bars, restaurants and nightclubs ensure guests a long and entrancing evening.
