Flaine is a place of extremes. It will delight all ski enthusiasts, whether they remain in Flaine or dare to explore the valleys of the Grand Massif. The terrain is vast and versatile, with a magnificent view of Mont Blanc. The resort is also situated in the centre of a bowl that guarantees quasi-uninterrupted sunlight on the pistes. Flaine is not about to be outdone in matters of sliding/gliding facilities, since the resort provides a large and very well maintained snow park for skiers who thrive on thrills. The return to the resort can be a little disconcerting though, since all of the skiing activities cannot hide the impersonal architecture of a resort built of untreated, strip-formed concrete.
