Far from the tourist circuits, Andermatt has remained faithful to the image of an authentic small mountain hamlet in the Swiss Alps. The skiing area covers four sectors. Two are directly accessible; while the other two are reached via a small train. The ski slopes are more suited to experienced skiers and for them there are many off-piste routes. Evenings are more convivial than active.
